Welcome to Crestie Shack — a small, dedicated crested gecko breeding programme based in Colchester, Essex.
We have kept and worked with crested geckos since 2014, and over the years our passion has developed into a focused breeding programme centred around Extreme Tricolours, high-coverage animals and carefully selected genetics.
For us, breeding isn't simply about producing visually striking geckos. We are passionate about understanding the genetics and lineage behind our animals and carefully selecting pairings with a long-term goal in mind. Every breeding animal is chosen for its individual qualities, pedigree and the traits we hope to develop in future generations.
Our breeding projects
Our programme currently includes two dedicated projects: the Monarch Line and the Fracture Line.
The Monarch Line is our pursuit of large, well-structured Extreme Tricolours, with a focus on strong coverage, contrast and overall quality.
Our Fracture Line is a separate project built around carefully selected Lilly White genetics, with the aim of developing distinctive, high-coverage animals over multiple generations.
We believe the most exciting part of breeding is seeing a project develop over time — from the foundation animals and their pedigrees through to the offspring they produce.
Our approach
We take pride in knowing the history behind our breeding animals and keeping detailed records of their lineage. Where possible, we provide this information to buyers so they can understand not only the gecko they are purchasing, but also the genetics and breeding history behind it.
The health and welfare of our animals always comes first. Our geckos are raised in a clean, carefully monitored environment and are accustomed to regular handling and routine care from an early age.
We also believe that buying a gecko shouldn't mean losing access to support once the animal leaves us. Every Crestie Shack customer has lifetime access to our advice and support, whether they are new to crested geckos or experienced keepers looking to add a future breeder to their collection.

Our goal is simple: to produce healthy, high-quality crested geckos while developing breeding lines that we can be proud of for generations to come.
